A new range of work to be treated in a "painting-a-day" style.
This is a continuation of my idea of "looking" and "reacting" to the world and recording/fixing that ephemeral "moment"/"resonance" into a painting. Instead of expanding the scale to an enormous size I want to keep them at the same small scale as the things I am depicting. Some intriguing stuff is going off with these pieces. It's almost like they're keeping the special gem like quality of the original objects due in some part to the scale of these paintings. They're quite private pieces to look at, very much like a keepsake or locket. They're not pieces that scream for attention, but because I have spent time painting them they have aquired a certain "specialness".
